You are in for a real treat. This is a rare, natural, earth mined, unheated, untreated, GIA designated, “Color Change Sapphire.” For those of you who are familiar with sapphires, you know this combination is extremely rare.
Depending on lighting, this sapphire changes from a Deep Greenish Blue to Deep Pinkish Purple. There will never be a time, when this sapphire will not delight the eyes. Depending on the light, this sapphire will never cease to amaze. One of nature’s wonders.
This sapphire was mined in East Africa (per GIA). Our records specifically show Madagascar (East Africa) as the site of the mine. This gem has not been heat treated in any way, which is extremely rare. It is estimated that approximately 95% of all gem quality sapphires, are heated. This is a very rare and exceptional gemstone, worthy of the admiration of any gemstone connoisseur.
